Paintball is a fast and furious sport played on a social and serious level by a large number of people around the world. Two teams (of up to 30 a side) are equipped with paintball markers. These are basically low powered air-guns that fire small gelatin capsules filled with starch and food colouring, not real ‘paint’.
After a safety and mission briefing the teams are led out onto the field and, with the mission objectives in mind, the carnage begins. Your day will involve multiple military style scenarios on a variety of fields and terrain.
The games are built around the use of teamwork and strategy, with opposing teams attempting to outwit and out manoeuvre their opponents.
Paintballing in Kerry is played on a 27-acre action zone just outside Tralee.
